The teaching of Alpha College for Theological Studies (ACTS) is based on the following:
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three distinct persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. These three persons are co-equal and co-eternal, each possessing the fullness of the divine nature.
We believe that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned or obtained by human efforts but is a result of God's love and mercy. Salvation includes forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and the promise of eternal life.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, without error in its original manuscripts. It is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. We affirm the Old and New Testaments as the complete revelation of God's will for humanity.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross for the redemption of humanity, bodily resurrection, and ascension to heaven. We affirm His present reign as Lord and Savior and anticipate His future return.
We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates and indwells believers, and empowers them for Christian life and service. The Holy Spirit guides, teaches, and produces the fruit of the Spirit in the lives of believers.
We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, composed of all true believers from every nation and denomination. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and engage in acts of compassion and justice.
We believe in the future return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the eternal destiny of believers in heaven and unbelievers in hell. We anticipate the consummation of God's kingdom and the establishment of a new heaven and a new earth.
